No, that's not a saber-toothed tiger...

Cortisol. It's also known as the fight-or-flight hormone which is released in the body in response to stress. I had heard the word and sorta knew about it but never paid any attention to it, until I was forced to. Back in the old caveman days, cortisol was super helpful. It helped them when they were being chased by those pesky saber-toothed tigers. Nowadays, too much of it is not a good thing. And at the rate we are collectively going, more and more people are stressed out, living with excess cortisol than they probably realize. The good news is that there are simple techniques to help stave off the stresses of today.
